Guide to easy, green gardening

28 Apr, 2010 10:54 AM
CHEAP and easy gardening is the focus of Port Stephens Council's next Sustainable Living workshop.

Avid local gardener Craig Manhood is running the workshop on Saturday at the gardens at Tomaree Community College, Nelson Bay.

"It will be fun, people will get to talk and meet with a lot of other local gardeners and share their collective knowledge," Mr Manhood said. He will be discussing how to turn organic waste into fertiliser through the use of compost and worm farming.

Participants will also get a first-hand demonstration of the no-dig gardening technique.
