SHE still has a long road ahead of her, but eight- year-old Medowie model Grace Kerr is one step closer to her dream of gracing the covers of fashion magazines.
Grace was recently named the junior winner of this year’s northern region Model for Life contest.
To take her place on the podium, Grace beat 18 other contestants who travelled from as far north as Port Macquarie to compete. While it was the first time Grace had competed in a modelling competition, she said it was her confidence that contributed to the win.
‘‘I’ve done public speaking and dancing so I’m used to being in front of an audience,’’ she said.
‘‘I was more nervous during the casual section when it was just me and the judges.’’
Grace won two modelling contracts.
