Skye said she was thrilled at the opportunity to meet the prince.
"It's exciting because he's a young royal and a lot of older dignitaries and politicians are set in their thoughts about what is right and wrong," she said.
"Being younger makes it easier to talk to him and to find out what his thoughts are on the future."
She said she was unaware of Prince William's stance on whaling, she looked forward to discussing conservation issues with the royal.
