Nw exhibition at Port Stephes Community Arts Centre

28 Oct, 2009 03:27 PM

THE beauty of Port Stephens is currently on display through the works of artist Robyn Bailey.

The Anna Bay artist is exhibiting a collection of her work at the Port Stephens Community Art Centre until December 1, with all paintings up for sale.

Ms Bailey formally trained in the fine arts in Sydney during the early 60s and said she took inspiration from her surrounds for the collection.

"I enjoy the reflection and movement of the water," she said.

"Everyday it is a different colour.

"I guess spending 26 years in the country, where there is a lack of water to Anna Bay, where you are surrounded by it has given me a lot of inspiration."

The works include scenes depicting Tomago, Raymond Terrace and Anna Bay. For further detail contact the arts centre on 4981 3604.
