The Dark Beer and Chocolate class is on Saturday from 3pm and is headed by brewer Ian Watson.

"Chocolate and dark beer are two wonderful partners together and we will be highlighting their similarities," Mr Watson said. On the day the class will look at the flavour components of dark beer and chocolate, break down their recipe and masterclass students will even get to taste some fine treats. Mr Watson was originally a sommelier pairing food with beer and he will be passing on some of his tips learnt in the industry.

"Chocolate has a luxury element to it and so does high-end beer so we hope people will leave feeling they have had a pampered experience," he said.
