Top Pacific award after stellar year

26 May, 2010 10:20 AM
PORT Stephens Examiner sales rep Deb Yeomans has picked up one of the top awards in the newspaper industry following a stellar year in advertising.

The features consultant sells advertising space in many of the features displayed in the Examiner and her performance in the past year has been considered by judges of the Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers Association (PANPA) as the best within its organisation.

The PANPA group has members from every major newspaper group in Australia, New Zealand and most of the English-language newspapers in South East Asia and the South Pacific.

Mrs Yeomans won the Display Advertising Executive of the Year Award, with figures that left the judges 'buzzing' according to PANPA chief Mark Holland.

"What really had everybody going was the consistency of her work," Mr Holland said.

"Not only did she constantly meet her selling targets, she consistently exceeds those targets."
