Wacky nuns cause havoc

30 Jun, 2010 09:11 AM
A WACKY group of nuns have taken over Soldiers Point Bowling Club and will be causing havoc to celebrate Christmas in July.

The Tomaree Musical Theatre Company is performing the play Nuncrackers from July 16 at the bowling club.

The play is the sequel to Nunsense, which saw a collection of 15 cast members tell the story of some wacky nuns.

This play follows the nuns as they broadcast a Christmas show from the basement of their convent.

One nun in particular decides to aspire to be the first ballerina nun however in an unfortunate turn of events she looses her ability to dance and the mayhem begins.

β€˜β€˜It is a fun night out, an excellent way to celebrate Christmas in July and it is great to support a local theatre group,’’ director Lucinda Thomas said.

There is even a special guest appearance from entertainer John English.
