SOLDIERS Point Marina is proof that the little things go a long way.
The prominent tourist attraction is one of only two marinas in Australia to be awarded with an internationally-recognised Five Gold Anchor rating.
The rating, which was launched internationally in 2009, is designed to give customers a point of reference similar to the hotel industries five-star system and was officially announced at a lunch with NSW Tourism Minister Jodi McKay on Thursday.
According to marina manager Darrell Barnett, the rating can be attributed to the complex's attention to detail by providing a complimentary sauna, courtesy car, push bikes, newspapers, internet and cocktails among other things.
"It's definitely about paying attention to the finer details and providing the bit of added service," Mr Barnett said.
"The whole idea of the rating is so customers know what they are paying for.
"We might come down and provide them with chilled towels or pay for a complimentary game of tennis down the road."
