POWER boat action hits the Hunter River at Raymond Terrace this weekend.
More than 30 power craft from all over NSW are entered for the Raymond Terrace Aquatic Club's annual powerboat trophy day.
Racing will be from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday in both senior and junior sections.
"They're in big powerful machines," organiser Mary O'Brien said.
"It's very exciting with lots of appeal."
One Port entrant expected to do well, in his machine called Trouble, is Adam Woods who came through the Terrace ranks.
Attractions such as car displays of GT Falcons and Monaros, jumping castles and a barbecue will be set up in Riverside Park.
