Bay cricket in top spot in three grades

10 Mar, 2010 10:21 AM
DESPITE having three games washed out at the weekend, Nelson Bay Cricket Club made official three minor premierships, while a fourth team also qualified for the finals.

The Bay's AR3, B4 and C3 got the weekend off thanks to inclement weather that affected the last regular round of Newcastle City and Suburban cricket.

But they had each done enough to lead their respective competitions at the closure of the final round.

The club's one team in action at the weekend managed victory over Warners Bay with just 78 runs.

The B3 bowling attack dismissed Warners Bay for just 73 to finish the season in second place.
