Nelson Bay Pony club small in size big on presentation

23 Dec, 2009 10:42 AM
WHAT Nelson Bay Pony Club lacks in size, it clearly makes up for in presentation.

The club, with the help of only eight riders and seven parents, hosted the Zone 25, 39th Annual Jamboree at Dungog Showground recently.

There it was judged to be the most aesthetically pleasing following a march past.

It was Nelson Bay Pony Club's turn to host the event which brings together 164 riders from 16 clubs across the Hunter for a two day equestrian festival.

The club's secretary treasurer Sue Woolaston said the club chose Dungog over its own headquarters at Anna Bay so it could cater for the full range of pony club events, including campdraft.

The club's on Bay Pony Club's registration day for 2010 will be held on January 30, at the clubhouse off the Anna Bay Roundabout from 10am.
