Fish for luderick, black drummer and bream

02 Jun, 2010 12:19 PM
WITH all the big seas of late plenty of fish have gathered to feed amongst the white water along the ocean rocks.

When the swell settles it's the perfect time to target black drummer, luderick and bream in the washes.

These fish are always eager to snaffle baits such as royal red prawns, cunjevoi and fresh bread.

A simple rig consisting of a size 1 to 1/0 suicide hook with a small running sinker is ideal.

Meanwhile reports this week have been scarce and only a few brave fisho's took on the elements over the past week.

The good news is the fish are biting with some big tailor cruising along the spit at Fingal, Box Beach and Sunny Corner.

Some great snapper have been in the same areas and are eager to snaffle floating baits such as pilchards and garfish.

Keep your eye on the TV over the next month or so, local champs, Tim Dean and Brent Hancock recently did some filming with the crew from IFISH TV.

Tim took the guy's out for some exciting marlin fishing with some amazing footage of both stripe and black marlin, while Brent headed in the Bay and targeted some fantastic dusky flathead on soft plastic lure's.

Both episodes will be showing on ONE HD and Channel 10.
