THEY have already added a new chapter this year but Raymond Terrace's grade two pennants side is not done with the club's history books just yet.
The Jet's went through the zone pennants season dropping only one game against Stockton.
They toppled Swansea by 18 shots in the zone final and now head to the state playoffs at Dee Why on July 30.
If the Jets survive the sectional round they will play at Harbord the next day for a chance to become Raymond Terrace's first state pennant flag winners since the grade four team played their way to victory in 1980.
It would be the third state pennants title in the club's history and would again be its highest grade win at that level.
The club's bowls manager Clay Parker said the Jets most immediate threat was Zone 6 winner and sectional opponent Pacific Palms.
"Club's like that who don't have a first grade side tend to be the ones who win at state because this is their top grade," he said.
"They might have five or six first grade bowlers in their grade two team."
The zone flag has also given Raymond Terrace the chance to make more history in 2011.
Two consecutive zone flag wins trigger an automatic promotion from grade two to grade one under Newcastle District Bowls Association rules, according to Parker.
If successful in 2011, in 2012 the Jets will become the only club in history to have two grade one teams.
