RAYMOND Terrace scored a 10-run win over East Maitland at Jack Collins Oval on Saturday.

The Lions won the toss and posted 5-202 from their fifty overs.

Opener Steve Giggins top scored with an innings of 55.

Several of the top order batsmen made a start; Graham Maytom (19), Rod Maytom (15) and Justin Rainbow (14).

But it was Brad Bidner (41 not out) and Luke Maher (28 not out) who combined to put on an unbeaten 78 for the sixth wicket.

Bidner completed a fine day for the home side by picking up three wickets in the Easts innings.

The Lions suffered a loss to Easts in second grade, but fell just short of the outright points.

Shannon Ping top scored in the first innings with 19 and Matthew Farrow took two wickets.

A blistering double century stand between Dallas Schultz (96) and Shane Riley (90) set up the chance of an outright result.

The Terrace had a 19-run win over Easts in third grade.

Captain John Wooderson top scored in the Lions innings of 148 with 40 runs.

Eathen Smith supported him well with 25.

The Terrace scored a three wicket win over Thornton in fourth grade and a two wicket win over Easts in fifth grade.

The Terrace scored a win over Raworth in E grade thanks to a superb century from club stalwart Martin Soper.

The Lions were washed out against Largs at 0-45 chasing 108 in F grade.
