NATASHA Van Eldik has a number that belongs to her now and no female lawn bowler on earth can take it away.
"My new nickname is 77 because I am the 77th woman to represent Australia," the Tanilba Bay lawn bowler said.
"It's a dream come true to play for Australia."
Van Eldik, who represents Raymond Terrace Bowling Club, will make her international debut at the senior level when Australia takes on England in a pre-Commonwealth Games Test Series beginning in Moama on February 22 and 23.
The 19 year old was chosen after a selection camp at the NSW Institute of Sport last month.
England has already named and announced its 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games squad and will no doubt treat their encounter with Australia as a test run for the October event.
But Australia is not due to finalise its line-up until June or July and Van Eldik, who took up lawn bowls because she thought it was a bludge from school sport, is desperate for a ticket to Delhi.
"If I can perform in this series it will be a massive foot in the door for the Commonwealth Games."
Van Eldik will play with world No.3 Kelsey Cottrell from South Tweed, Karen Murphy from Cabramatta, Claire Duke also from Cabramatta and Sharyn Renshaw from St Johns Park in the women's team and will play lead for Julie Keegan from Coolum Beach.
Van Eldik has already represented her country at under 18 level, at which she played in the Trans-Tasman Series. She will return to that tournament in 2010, this time as a senior.
Van Eldik's selection makes her one of the youngest players to don the green and gold.
