THE Raymond Terrace Jets have ensured fans they will be in the mix for the Premier League bowls finals this weekend.
The Jets beat the Roselands Devils 62-54 to set up a place in the finals which are being played at the Raymond Terrace club .
They survived a late fight from the Devils to escape with the win and line up a rematch with the Carbramatta Bullants in the minor semi final on Saturday morning.
The Bullants beat the Jets almost a fortnight ago to jeopardise their chances of making the finals.
The win against Roselands represents the greatest Premier League feat by a Raymond Terrace team.
Last year's Jets went down in the preliminary final to a Maitland City team that included their current bowls coordinator and player Clay Parker.
Now a devout Jet, Parker was thrilled to see his men bounce back from a 16-point loss to the Bullants in Sydney the week before.
A big part of that win, and the Jets Premier League campaign to date, have been marquee recruits Jason Pietraszek, Terry Antram and current Kiwi international Richard Girvan.
"I am really liking playing with these blokes, they are a lot of fun," Girvan, who is also the operations manager at the Nelson Bay club, said.
Following the minor semi, major semi and final this Saturday, Raymond Terrace will also host the grand final from 11am Sunday.
The Jets will need to win two games on Saturday to make Sunday's decider.
