Terrace looks for win

23 Sep, 2009 01:03 PM
THE Raymond Terrace Bowling Club Premier League side has won two of three games so far this season, despite losing marquee player Shane Golbits to an unknown illness.

Golbits became ill on the weekend leaving him out of the action, but what shocked most according to bowling club assistant manager Lennon Scott, was that nobody knew what was wrong with him.

"He just got taken ill," Scott said.

"He is one of our key players so we hope to have him back."

In the action on the weekend the Terrace lost to Baulkam Hills on Friday night but beat Toongabbie on Sunday.

Scott said the club had hoped to have a flawless record, three from three, but would not focus on the results just before the game this weekend.

On Saturday the Terrace will take on Birrong before coming up against competition favorites Tarren Point on Sunday.

Scott hoped the club would be victorious but said either way it would be a good test of ability.
