Why stop at cigarette butts? Why not have such fines for any discarded rubbish?
I have been a local Clean Up Australia (CUA) site supervisor for the past 18 years.
But we despair that as the next annual CUA day arrives, we will have to repeat our annual collection.
So why not stop the rubbish at its source, namely lazy, irresponsible people who discard their rubbish for others to collect? Fine them, on the spot.
