The owner of Ezy Kayaks, James Blizzard, hosted The Big Blue Paddle duo at his home last Wednesday.
Tony Miller-Greenman and Michael Leith then paddled along past Seal Rocks, Bennetts Beach and safely across Port Stephens bay.
The journey started on December 26 in Brisbane and is set to finish at Bondi Beach on Australia Day.
Ezy Kayaks is planning to host a fund-raising event on Australia Day to raise further funds for the trip.
"We plan to support Tony and Michael by donating 10 per cent of the cost of every kayak and paddleboard hired this Australia Day from Ezy Kayaks, Hawks Nest to the Beyond Blue charity," Mr Blizzard said.
"In addition there will be a gold coin donation opportunity at our launch site at Hawks Nest Boat Ramp.
"This is a chance for us to support fellow Australians currently undergoing difficult times."
Beyond Blue works to reduce the impact of depression and anxiety in the community by raising awareness and understanding and empowering people to seek help.
