Police said on Thursday, February 13, the 32-year-old Hawks Nest man was asked to quit the club because of his high level of intoxication.

They said he then told staff members he did not have to leave because he was the local policeman.

The police were phoned and the man left the premises before they arrived.

Police immediately identified the man and attended his home in Hawks Nest.

No charges were pressed but he was warned about attempting to impersonate a police officer.
