Boomerang Park is an asset to the community as a green open space.
A space for all members of the community to enjoy and benefit.
Money has been allocated in the past to manage, enhance and upgrade this community asset but unfortunately these funds have never been realised.
Works to date have been no more than token gestures giving rise to its neglect.
It is great to see a management plan being developed to make Boomerang Park more community friendly and encourage use, but we should all be very mindful about selling sections of it off to help fund this so called 'management'.
You only have to look around our other local government areas to see how highly other councils value such assets.
We as a community should take time to view this draft master plan for Boomerang Park as this asset belongs to all of us and not private hands.
Boomerang Park deserves a management plan worthy of its enhancement, not its decline.
