The rodeo is held in memory of the late Reg Lindsay, a pioneer of Australian country music, and is organised by his wife, Ros Lindsay.
This year the event will take place on March 8 making it the second time the rodeo has been held at the club but the 20th time since its inception - it was moved from Cessnock to Tomago in 2013.
To mark the occasion a new event has been introduced - the Legends Open Bull Ride.
Mrs Lindsay said the legends event was for contestants older than 40 and would offer the winner $1000.
Hunter identity Chris "Hipshot" Meade has signed up already along with others.
"Riders to be part of the legends are so far David Leake, Ross Wicks, Chris Melmeth and David Corke with more old cowboys being contacted to dust off the boots and brush off the cobwebs to be part of this special event," Mrs Lindsay said.
Bucking bulls and horses, barrel races, bareback riders as well as market stalls would all be a part of the action.
The gates for the event open at 2pm with rodeo action from 4pm and live music from 8pm.
Tickets cost $20 for adults, $10 for seniors and children 14 and under while a family pass for two children and two adults is $55.
Tickets can be purchased from the club or you can call Ros Lindsay on 4991 1585.
