The new store has introduced a variety of fresh options based on customer feedback.
This includes a new bakery and self-service artisan bread shelf as well as fresh fruit and vegetables displayed on ice.
Coles Tea Gardens store manager Karen McCook, who has worked at the store for nearly two years, said she was excited about the conversion from Bi-Lo to Coles.
"We have been serving the community here for 13 years and we are delighted to refurbish our store as part of our commitment to the local area," she said.
"We've listened to the customer feedback and can't wait to show the local community the fresh new-look and exciting new in-store features.
"Every change we've made in-store is reflective of the customers' needs and we believe that the new store will offer local shoppers more choice than ever before."
She said no prices in the supermarket would rise with the upgrades.
The new store is open from 7am to 9pm from Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 8pm on Sunday.
