Between 5pm and 8pm the YMCA building on Sturgeon Street, in Raymond Terrace will be open for residents to wander in and check out what it has to offer.
"We're opening up our doors for the whole community, regardless of whether they're a member or not," the YMCA's program co-ordinator, David Richards, said.
"Community members can come in and have a look and people can use the gym.
"Parents can take part in a body pump class while the kids are watching a movie."
Mr Richards said the free community event was to show residents what services the YMCA has to offer. As well as fitness, gym and health, the YMCA offers a range of youth, family and community services.
The gym will be available for use during the open night on Saturday.
A family-friendly movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, will screen on the YMCA's inflatable screen in the gymnastics room at 5.30pm. The children's playland and the centre's kiosk will also be open.
At 6pm, a Les Mills Body Pump class will be run.
The Raymond Terrace YMCA is at 18 Sturgeon Street.
