While this will be the last edition of the Nota, Newcastle Newspapers and Fairfax media are committed to ensuring the population of Tea Gardens Hawks Nest, Buladelah, Karuah and surrounding areas is provided with up to date and accurate news coverage of the area.
The Port Stephens Examiner will, from April 10, now be distributed into the area and include a special four-page section dedicated to the Myall Coast community with similar content also available at www.portstephensexaminer.com.au.
This change does not mean a lessening of the commitment to coverage of the area – in fact, it is hoped to achieve an even better result by focusing resources in this way. Local news, community events, sport, the TV Guide and classifieds will still be provided with the current print run of the Examiner increased and distributed via strategic bulk drop locations.
Those wishing to contribute Community News or story submissions are welcome to do so via email at news@pse.fairfax.com.au or by phoning a journalist on 4983 8400.
Examiner offices are also located at 15 William Street, Raymond Terrace and 28 Donald Street, Nelson Bay. Readers are welcome to visit or phone journalists to discuss matters of interest within the community.
Those wishing to discuss the discontinuation of the Nota can phone myself, the Editor, on 4916 4800 or the General Manager on 4983 8400.
As Editor of the Myall Coast Nota and the Port Stephens Examiner I would like to sincerely thank the community for its support over the years and look forward to working closely with the community in the future.
Anna Wolf, Editor
Myall Coast Nota and Port Stephens Examiner
