The band sold more than a million albums in their time and Yesterday Once More - A Tribute To The Carpenters will include 25 of their greatest hits when it comes to Wests New Lambton on Friday, May 16.
Lead singer Sharon Calabro will embody the spirit of Karen Carpenter and Danny Elliott will be on the piano and vocals for a performance true to that of Richard Carpenter.
A four-piece band and two backing vocalists will support the pair.
The producers say audiences of all ages will be captivated by the show.
As well as vocals that do the original band justice, the tribute will also include identical costumes to those worn by the Carpenters and their backing band.
Attention has been paid to every detail to make the show as realistic as possible.
Tickets to the Wests New Lambton show can be purchased by calling 4935 1200 or at westsnewcastle.com.au.
