Following the recent death of George Donaldson, the band's original lead singer, the members of Celtic Thunder announced they would dedicate the upcoming Australian tour to him.
The internationally successful group will touch down in Australia in May ready to perform across 22 dates in capital cities and regional markets, and are set to hit Newcastle on Tuesday, May 27.
Mythology has success on the ARIA charts with one of its releases holding the number one spot for 25 weeks.
Donaldson, also known as Big George, will be honoured by his band, with Emmet Cahill rescheduling his solo shows to join the tour with his former band members Keith, Ryan, Neil and Colm.
The Newcastle performance will kick off at 7.30pm. Ticket prices range from $99 to $299 and are on sale through Ticketek at ticketek.com.au.
