A 17-year-old was killed last night in a fatal accident at Clarence Town Road,
Seaham.
Port Stephens police were called to the scene of the accident last night after a vehicle hit a power pole and split into two.
Police said the vehicle, believed to be a white Ford sedan, was travelling north when it left Clarence Town Road about 6pm last night.
The sole occupant of the car, the driver, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
Port Stephens police are still investigating the incident but at this stage the age, gender of the driver have not been released publicly.
