The Examiner understands the council's assessment is being finalised by staff with the matter to hit the panel on June 12. The council's assessment report is due to be submitted to the panel today, May 29.
It was announced in April that the council was likely to recommend the panel refuse the applicant because there was no Species Impact Statement. The panel is the consent authority for the extension because the development is classified as a "Particular Designated Development" under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
It is expected the panel meeting will be held at the council chambers from 4pm.
A site inspection with staff and panel members will take place on the day from 1pm and a final briefing of the panel is scheduled for 3pm.
Members of the public who have previously made submissions in relation to the DA will be notified and allowed to register for public access.
