The meeting on August 18, at Tomaree Library and Community Centre, will run from 6pm to 8pm.
It will deal with the reclassification of 1 Diemars Road from a public recreation land-use zone to a low density zone. This rezoning, along with changes to the classification of land at 22 Homestead Street, was on public exhibition in May and June.
The council-owned sites are earmarked for 30 residential lots, potentially catering for seniors living.
If this plan goes ahead it is believed the lots will cost $80,000 each to develop and once built on could be marketed between $160,000 to $180,000.
This means a potential net profit of $2.7 million for the council.
The public is welcome to speak at the meeting.
