A party of 16, which includes seven players from the Gropers Rugby Union Club, will head overseas for the festival, which every two years attracts hundreds of players aged 35 and over.
"It's just for fun," the Gropers' Ray Milton said.
"The rugby is real but no one keeps score.
"That's why we're the world champions, like everyone else."
The rugby union club first took part in the festival in 1981, Mr Milton said.
Representatives of the club's golden oldies side have played in each festival since 1989.
Mr Milton said the festival was a good opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
"It's just a great chance to drink beers and boast about how good we used to be."
Ken Brown is the side's oldest player.
Brown will celebrate his 69th birthday while in Argentina.
Lee Anzleark is the youngest on the side at 55.
Also on the team heading to the overseas festival are Milton, Tony Minchin, Peter Arvis, Rob Caldwell and Brian Armstrong.
They will meet up with Dale Landis, from the United States, in Argentina to complete the side.
The location of the next festival will be announced during the three days of golden oldies action.
