After a lifetime of hard knocks, including being abused from a young age, in 2011 Ms Aniston was broke, living in a caravan with her six children and being harassed by her violent ex-partner.
Ms Aniston said from behind prison walls, her ex-partner arranged for her home to be robbed. Authorities did not believe her, and her six girls were taken from her by the Department of Family and Community Services.
It was then, at her lowest, Ms Aniston found the Yacaaba Centre.
"The Yacaaba Centre is the only centre that's helped me in the history of what I've been through," she said.
"They gave me the drive to keep going and fighting for what I believe in. You walk into the centre and every lady has a smile, they ask if they can get you anything, they care."
Fast forward three years, Ms Aniston now has all her girls back and is well known in the Anna Bay community as the enthusiastic redhead from Port Stephens Complete Real Estate.
So passionate about helping the team that helped her, Ms Aniston has set herself an ambitious goal of raising $1 million to keep the Yacaaba Centre operating. Buckets with "Save the Yacaaba Centre", donated by Bunnings, have been delivered around the Port for the public to donate to.
Between 9am and 4pm on Saturday, Ms Aniston will be in Salamander Bay Shopping Centre outside Woolworths.
"I have always said that if I had a dollar or two for each person who has commented on my hair in the last 19 years of living in Port Stephens I would be a rich woman," Ms Aniston said.
"So this is the time to put your money where your mouth is and come and donate the dollar or two."
A dinner at Wharf Restaurant in Nelson Bay is organised from 5.30pm on Saturday, August 29.
Tickets cost $100 from the venue and are available until August 25.
A luncheon will be held at Anna Bay Tavern from noon on Saturday, September 13.
The cost is $40 a ticket, available from the tavern.
Tickets for the dinner and luncheon can also be bought from Port Stephens Complete Real Estate or by phoning 4982 1700.
She said if she did not raise $1 million in the next two months, she would commit to shaving her hair off.
