The Knit and Knatter group and the Friends of Great Lakes Library Service will host the annual knit-in on Friday, August 29, in support of the Wraps with Love Project.
Wraps with Love aims to provide warmth, in the form of a blanket or wrap, to the millions across the world experiencing extreme cold.
The project relies on the generosity of people who are willing to take time out of their day to knit woollen squares.
In the past 20 years, more than 300,000 wraps have been sent to 75 countries, including Australia.
Knitters with time on their hands on August 29 are invited to head to Forster Library with their needles and wool from 10am. At 11am Friends of Great Lakes Library Service members will serve morning tea. Tea cosies will be on sale at the knit-in to raise additional funds.
Knit and Knatter is held on the last Friday of each month at Forster Library.
