ELIM Kids is the brainchild of a Nelson Bay couple and is widely supported by a group of Port Stephens residents.
The home is a safe haven for children in China who are abandoned after receiving an HIV positive prognosis.
The money raised from the shopping trip will help ELIM Kids to provide antiviral medication, shelter and an education for these orphans.
"For children living with HIV in China it is extremely difficult," co-ordinator of the shopping trip Rose Brennan said.
"We hope to raise money with the shopping trip and we have also had a lot of support from local businesses donating prizes for the day."
The shopping trip is on October 11 and costs $45 per person.
To buy tickets email elimkidschina@yahoo.com or drop into LJ Hooker Nelson Bay on Stockton Street.
The shopping trip will leave from Port Stephens Coaches at Taylors Beach about 6am with other pick-up points on the way.
The bus will head to DFO Homebush in the morning before visiting IKEA, both in Sydney, returning to Port Stephens at about 7pm. Tickets must be purchased by September 11.
