Eight comedians will take to Newcastle Civic Theatre's stage on Friday, September 5, for the Sydney Comedy Festival showcase.
The showcase features a killer line-up of award-winning comedians, including Al Del Bene, from the US, twin brothers The Stevenson Experience, John Cruckshank, Luke Heggie, Nikki Britton and Marty Bright.
The host for the night will be Daniel Townes, who is assured to keep the jokes firing throughout the show.
Since winning Comedy on the Rox's Quest for Best competition in 2010, Britton has toured extensively in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Her debut show, Flaw Plan, received stellar reviews at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, and sold out at the 2012 Sydney Comedy Festival.
Britton's 2013 show, Abdicating Adulthood, also received rave reviews.
This year she has returned to the festival circuit with Romanticide, parts of which she will perform in the Newcastle showcase.
Tickets for the Civic Theatre show, available from civictheatrenewcastle.com.au or by phoning 4929 1977, cost $52.
The Examiner has one double pass to give away to the show, which starts at 8pm.
To win, send your name and contact details in an email titled "Comedy" to ewatts@fairfaxmedia.com.au.
