The four friends were delighted to reach the same milestone in the same month.
John and Sally Richardson will celebrate their 50th anniversary tomorrow, Friday August 29.
The couple were married in Narromine, west of Dubbo, after meeting at Mrs Richardson's sister's engagement party.
She was a Kierath then and was drawn to John, who was up from Raymond Terrace to jackaroo in the area.
The two have lived in Raymond Terrace since they married, spending their time farming.
They have three children, Ross, Sarah and James, and five grandchildren.
They said the secret to a long and happy marriage is choosing the right person.
Their friends Margaret and Bernie Kime celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family on August 18.
They were married in Ashbury because it was halfway between their two homes, with Mr Kime coming from Raymond Terrace and Mrs Kime, originally a Granger, coming from Goulburn.
They met each other on what Bernie calls a "blind date" and were engaged for three months before getting married and moving to Raymond Terrace.
Mr Kime's family ran a popular butcher shop, while Mrs Kime worked as a teacher.
They have two daughters, Jennifer and Alison.
The Kimes believe the secret to a good marriage is pulling together when needed and always aiming for a common goal.
