At one of the most well attended accord meetings to date, on August 19 members voted to continue the Tomaree Peninsula 11.30pm lockout following a successful trial period and looked at ways members could enforce the "barred from one, barred from all" policy.

This would see a patron who is barred from one licensed premises on the Tomaree Peninsula refused entry into all others.

Port Stephens Local Area Command crime manager Inspector George Radmore said an eyewatch page would be established on Facebook as a place for licensees to share information about troublemakers and banned patrons.

Eyewatch is a NSW Police Force Facebook initiative, which gives community members an official platform in which to share information.

It has been called the 21st century neighbourhood watch.

"This would be a closed page, only available to members of the Facebook group," Inspector Radmore said.

"Only licensees and their managers accepted as members of the group would be able to see what is posted on the page."

Inspector Radmore said the 11.30pm Friday to Sunday lockout on the Tomaree Peninsula, introduced in April, had been "considered successful" by all involved with the initiative.

He said the "real test" of the initiative would be in summer, which is when it is hoped the eyewatch page would be up and running by.
