Ms Wilson was believed to have been the Port's oldest resident. She died on Friday, August 22.

She is survived by her only grandson, Scott Grant.

Mr Grant's partner of more than 10 years, Sasha Moffatt, said Ms Wilson would be sorely missed.

"She was so beautiful, she had the happiest disposition," Ms Moffatt said.

"She never had a nasty thing to say about anyone and never complained.

"Even if she ate something that didn't taste nice she would thank you and say it was good.

"And she was beautiful.

"She wore her pearls and makeup every day.

"She always looked a picture."

Ms Wilson moved into Harbourside Haven at Shoal Bay in 2000.

In March she celebrated her 110th birthday.

Until the beginning of August Ms Wilson had been mobile and had been putting on her lipstick and pearls daily.

But after suffering two falls in one week, she was moved into high care where she lived out her life.

Ms Wilson was born in the southern NSW town of Tumut on March 30, 1904. She moved to Port Stephens from Sydney 18 years ago to be closer to family, and outlived her husband, daughter and a grandson.
