At the August 26 meeting, councillors voted to approve financial assistance requests from the Karuah Senior Citizens Club, Karuah Community Hall Committee and Karuah and District Golf Club.
The Karuah groups were three of 17 seeking financial assistance from the council ward funds with their requests worth a total of $11,765.
All were approved.
The senior citizens club will receive $800 from the west ward councillor funds to go towards insurance and the golf club will receive $1000 to go towards grounds maintenance equipment.
The community hall committee will receive $2000, which will go towards buying new chairs.
