On Tuesday, Port Stephens police were still searching for the man who robbed the William Street hotel's drive-though bottle shop with a black revolver about 8.15pm on September 6.
Police said the man, who was wearing a black balaclava, gloves and dark clothing at the time, entered the bottle shop on foot, pointed the revolver at the 22-year-old male attendant and demanded cash. He was handed a small amount of money from the cash register and ran from the bottle shop.
Police said witnesses saw the man running down an alleyway into a car park at the rear of the hotel.
Officers from Port Stephens Local Area Command arrived at the scene minutes later and patrolled the area.
Though they could not find the robber, they found money, which is believed to have been dropped by the man while running away.
He was described as being of Caucasian appearance with a thin build, aged in his late 20s, and about 186 centimetres tall.
During the robbery he was wearing dark navy jeans and a black hooded jumper.
Anyone with information is urged to phone Raymond Terrace Police Station on 4983 7599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
