Paul is a keen young local fisherman who could catch a fish on a damp lawn and his articles and photographs are outstanding.
Now that the monster seas and crazy weather have settled, it is back to business and Duff from Salamander Bait & Tackle tells me the fish are hungry and going haywire. The estuary is alive with tailor, snapper, bream, luderick and kingfish on the breakwall.
This is one of the best mulloway seasons I have ever reported.
The rocks from Boat Harbour to Fingal are boiling with tailor, drummer, snapper, bream and luderick, and the beaches are working well for tailor and bream.
Outside the heads, the close reefs have been invaded by snapper from 3kg-5kg.
