A TEA Gardens man, 73, was found alive after spending more than 12 hours missing from his aged care home.

Bruce Starke was reported missing from Tea Gardens Manor about 5pm on Wednesday, October 1. He was last seen in the garden of the home.
When staff noticed Mr Starke’s absence police were called.
Officers from Port Stephens Local Area Command and the dog squad arrived and searched the area. However, he was not found.
An alert was issued, with police fearing for Mr Starke’s welfare as he suffers from a number of medical conditions.
About 7.30am on Thursday, October 2, Mr Starke was found in bushland near the manor. He was treated by paramedics and released back into the care of the manor’s staff.
