In Newcastle Local Court last Wednesday, October 8, Adam John Medcalf, 32, pleaded guilty to the charges laid against him by police in February.
Medcalf was charged with aggravated enter dwelling with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, aggravated enter dwelling with intent to inflict actual bodily harm, cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a prohibited drug.
The charges came after Medcalf was accused of attacking two women at a Coachwood Drive residence on February 5.
Medcalf made his failed bid for freedom in court on July 9 where details on the attack were read in court for the first time.
A magistrate denied Medcalf's application for bail, finding there to be an unacceptable risk for the victims and community if he was released.
