The Austral Street building was nominated as the Port Stephens site for this year's Graffiti Removal Day.
As reported by the Examiner earlier this month, the back of the Nelson Bay PCYC building had been extensively covered in graffiti, which varied from tags, pictures and obscenities.
Graffiti Removal Day is a national day of action backed by the NSW Government and Rotary.
"The purpose of Graffiti Removal Day is to highlight the problem of graffiti vandalism and encourage people to get involved in the removal and prevention of graffiti," PCYC Port Stephens club manager Matt Brealey said.
Participating sites, such as the Nelson Bay PCYC, will be armed with paint and supplies to clean up graffiti on Sunday, October 26.
All the PCYC needs now is willing and able volunteers to help paint the building.
To get involved email Mr Brealey at mbrealey@pcycnsw .org.au.
Sunday's clean-up event comes just days after unknown vandals struck a Soldiers Point Road house, spraying obscene writing in big black letters on the outside of the grey-painted fence. Police will review footage pulled from cameras located at the house.
