The festival, scheduled for November 1 and 2, is hoped to give the town a boost following the opening of the bypass last year.
‘‘This festival is Bulahdelah’s way of saying: ‘we may have been bypassed by the highway but we’re still here, bigger and better than ever’,’’ organiser Dave Saul said.
“We’re building this festival into the biggest festival on the Mid North Coast.’’
The festival will include markets, antiques, retro fashion, food, a children’s corner and art exhibitions, all topped off by live music by the Radiators, the Rattlesnakes and Brewhaha.
On Sunday, hot rods, vintage, muscle and race cars, trucks, motorcycles, military vehicles and all sorts of classic machines will be lined along the main street of Bulahdelah.
‘‘This year we’ve had to go to a two-day format due to the amount of things that we’ve included in the festival,’’ John Sahyoun, president of the Bulahdelah Chamber of Commerce, said.
‘‘We really hope that folks will come and party with us on Saturday night and then join us for our huge show ‘n’ shine on Sunday morning.
‘‘We have an astonishing amount of classic machinery coming to town for the weekend.
‘‘We’ve got hot rods and vintage cars coming from as far away as Melbourne and northern Queensland.
‘‘It’s going to be an incredible weekend in our friendly little country town.’’
