The audience will watch as the pregnant Mary travels on donkey to Bethlehem with Joseph, shepherds herd their sheep and the three wise men arrive on camels to worship baby Jesus.
As a bonus for audience members, all animals mentioned will make a real life appearance in the production.
This will be the sixth year the church has hosted Carols Under the Stars, which attracts hundreds of people to the Anna Bay church, with many travelling from afar to attend.
"We are excited to provide this opportunity for the community to celebrate Jesus' birthday," Pastor Duncan Anderson said.
"We look forward to seeing you all there."
The free event will start at 5pm on Tuesday, December 23.
The nativity production will start at 7.30pm and will include the traditional carols, as sung by the church's choir.
Guests are invited to take a picnic, a rug or chairs and head along.
The festivities will include a barbecue, $2 camel rides, face painting, jumping castles and live music as well as the nativity story and carols.
Gateway Presbyterian Church can be found at 43 Gan Gan Road, Anna Bay.
