Family activities and attractions will line the parks from the shores of Nelson Bay, Raymond Terrace, Lemon Tree Passage and Karuah in what promises to be the Port's biggest ever Australia Day celebration.
At Henderson Park in Lemon Tree Passage, the focus will be on live entertainment with singing, dancing and lots of activities lined up for children.
Baby crocodiles, a magician and a fabulous aerial display will highlight the celebrations at Nelson Bay's Fly Point.
These unique attractions will be complemented by the more traditional street parade, flag raising and citizenship ceremonies.
The Great Aussie Breakfast will kick off activities at Raymond Terrace Bowling Club, followed by a day of action featuring pony rides, petting zoo, inflatable slide, face painting and official proceedings at Riverside Park.
In Karuah, celebrations will centre around the RSL club and feature produce and cooking competitions, thong throwing and children's entertainment, culminating in the Port's only fireworks display at 9pm.
For a wrap-up of events and activities across the four sites, do not miss the full guide in next week's Port Stephens Examiner.
