In that safe, which had been locked and neatly tucked away in her bedroom's walk-in robe, were precious pieces of jewellery that had been handed down by her grandmother.
"Money is nothing," Mrs Fisher said.
"But the jewellery is irreplaceable."
Mrs Fisher hopes to tug at the heartstrings of the person who stole the safe from her Raymond Terrace home, or someone who knows who did, and have them return what was taken from her.
"If there is someone out there with a heartbeat that did this or knows who did this, return it," she said - even by dropping jewellery in her mailbox. "Help mend a broken heart."
The safe is believed to have been stolen sometime between 3pm on Friday, January 16 and lunchtime on Saturday, January 17.
Nothing else was taken from the house and nothing had been disturbed.
The house alarm, which had been on all day Friday, did not activate and Mrs Fisher's two dogs did not alert anyone to an intruder being in the house.
While it is possible an intruder could have bypassed the security measures, Mrs Fisher was told by police it was more likely someone she knew that stole from her.
Police forensic staff dusted for prints in her walk-in robe on Sunday.
