Let’s Go Adventures, Port Stephens Eco Network and Ocean Guardians have worked together to present the unique opportunity for those interested in learning more about marine life to watch The Sea & Me and My Saltwater Sanctuary.
View the My Saltwater Sanctuary trailer here.
The Sea & Me is a documentary of stories about Australians whose work and dedication is improving people’s understanding of the abundant seas.
These people consider themselves caretakers of the world’s unique marine life.
My Saltwater Sanctuary celebrates Australia’s salty backyard, sharing stories of people’s connection to the ocean.
The films will be screened at Nelson Bay Golf Club from 6.30pm on Monday, February 16.
The event is free, however spots are limited.
It is a fully catered event.
After the film screenings Darrell Dawson from Port Stephens Eco Network and Jim Dodd, a diver and underwater photographer, would guest speak.
The pair would discuss the film and also what marine sanctuaries can offer the community, economy and environment.
Other guest speakers include Frank Future, owner of Imagine Cruises and secretary of Whale and Dolphin Watch Australia and Let’s Go Adventures owner Emma Challen.
