FACEBOOK has been boiling with complaints by the residents of Salt Ash because they are left out of the local loop by Australia Post in parcel delivery services.

It seems there is no "normal" place for their posted items either as sometimes they have to go to Medowie, Tanilba Bay or Newcastle post offices to collect them.
Just how insane is that?
Salt Ash is about 10 kilometres from Tanilba Bay Post Office by road and yet Australia Post will not fund parcels delivery.
How difficult would it be to sub-contract this function to a shop owner at Paul's Corner to give Salt Ash residents some relief?
It would be simple to give the shop a RMBN number that all residents could use as their parcel address; and the mail van could drop items there on its way to Tanilba Bay.
I urge all Salt Ash residents to write to Bob Baldwin to see if they can get his interest on the issue.
